Kijijini Safaris Terms and Conditions

Introduction

Welcome to Kijijini Safaris. By booking a tour or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

Booking and Payment

1. Booking Confirmation:
   • A booking is confirmed when we receive a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the departure date.
2. Payment Methods:
   • We accept payments via bank transfer, credit card, and other secure online payment methods. All payments must be made in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified.
3. Late Payments:
   • If the final payment is not received by the due date, Kijijini Safaris reserves the right to treat the booking as canceled and apply the appropriate cancellation fees.

Cancellations and Refunds

Travel Insurance

1. Mandatory Insurance:
   • All participants are required to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers personal accident, medical expenses, evacuation, loss of luggage, and trip cancellation.
2. Proof of Insurance:
   • Proof of insurance must be provided before the commencement of the tour. Kijijini Safaris reserves the right to deny participation without valid insurance documentation.

Health and Safety

1. Medical Conditions:
   • Participants must inform Kijijini Safaris of any pre-existing medical conditions or special requirements at the time of booking.
2. Fitness Requirements:
   • Some tours require a reasonable level of fitness. Participants must ensure they are physically fit and capable of undertaking the tour activities.
3. Health Precautions:
   • It is the participant’s responsibility to take appropriate health precautions, including vaccinations and medications, as recommended for travel in Tanzania.

Travel Documents and Visas

1. Passport Validity:
   • Participants must ensure their passport is valid for at least six months beyond the end date of the tour.
2. Visas:
   • Obtaining the necessary visas is the responsibility of the participant. Kijijini Safaris can provide assistance and information, but it is ultimately the participant’s responsibility to secure the required visas.

Liability

1. Responsibility:
   • Kijijini Safaris acts as an agent for third-party suppliers such as hotels, transport providers, and other service providers. While we take all reasonable steps to ensure that services provided are of the highest standard, we cannot accept liability for the actions or omissions of these suppliers.
2. Force Majeure:
   • Kijijini Safaris shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or expense resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, wars, acts of terrorism, or government restrictions.
3. Personal Liability:
   • Participants are responsible for their own personal safety and belongings. Kijijini Safaris shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during the tour.

Changes and Modifications

1. Itinerary Changes:
   • Kijijini Safaris reserves the right to make changes to the tour itinerary if deemed necessary for safety, operational, or other reasons. Any changes will be communicated promptly to participants.
2. Participant-Requested Changes:
   • Requests for changes to bookings must be made in writing. We will do our best to accommodate such requests, but changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

Complaints and Disputes

1. Complaints Procedure:
   • Any complaints should be reported immediately to the tour guide or representative. If the issue is not resolved on the spot, a formal complaint must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the end of the tour.
2. Dispute Resolution:
   • Any disputes arising out of these terms and conditions shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be subject to the laws of Tanzania.

Privacy Policy

1. Personal Information:
   • Kijijini Safaris is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect and use personal information only for the purposes of arranging and delivering our tours.
2. Data Protection:
   • We do not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.
